Inside the Hopes flat Viv runs up to Bob to tell him that she has replied and Bob says 'what!' Viv tells Bob that she checked first thing and there was no word so she was really disappointed but she checked again and the woman has replied. Bob asks Viv if she is talking about the surrogate and Viv tells him of course she is. Bob tells Viv that she is a bit eager but Viv tells him that if she had a customer in the shop she wouldn't tell them to wait a minute. Bob says that she does sometimes but Viv tells him that it is the same and that they are her customers and she doesn't want to keep them waiting. Bob asks Viv what the woman has said but Viv tells him that she doesn't know because she wants to read it with him, so she tells Bob to get some clothes on and to come downstairs. Bob tells Viv that she is right and she tells him to hurry up.
Outside the Kings Development site Carl is talking on the phone saying that all of the proceeds go to charity. Carl asks Tom how Jimmy is doing and Tom tells him that he is a bit shaken up but he will be ok if today goes well. He asks Carl who he was talking to, Carl tells Tom that it was the Courier and that Jimmy had spoken to him but never followed it through and he had forgotten all about it. Tom asks Carl if he has rectified it and Carl tells him that they will be there. Tom asks Carl why the proceeds go to charity as Jimmy wanted them to be a profit for the business. Carl tells Tom that it was never going to happen as they have only sold a few tickets so they money goes to charity and they get a bit more decent PR. Tom says that he can see that Carl is on top of it all. Carl tells him that he is doing his best and that he is going to call the local radio station next. Tom tells him to keep it up while he goes home to check on Jimmy to make sure he is keeping his feet up.
